Chapter 6: HOT HEADS, PIG HEADS AND SKEPTICS

A few of my friends were very SKEPTICAL (doubtful, suspicious) about the readership, when I started this blog. Despite their SKEPTICISM, I PERSISTED in my attempt. My PERSEVERANCE has now paid. The number of suggestions, complaints and compliments my e-mail inbox  receives bear testimony to the tremendous readership my blog has

I use this space to thank warmly all my readers .

When we PERSIST in something, we CONTINUE to DO it; we do not give up; we PERSEVERE. 

PERSEVERANCE is CONTINUATION of EFFORT.

PERSEVERANCE x CESSATION of EFFORT (stopping effort) 

CESSATION is from CEASE, stop. So UNCEASING is non- stop, continuous. INCESSANT is a synonym of UNCEASING. Another synonym is CEASELESS.

When we continuously do something, we PERSIST in it. We become PERSISTENT or TENACIOUS. TENACIOUS people are generally called DIE HARD. They do not easily give up. 

Just as IMPETUOUS (rash) people are called HOTHEADS, PERSISTENT people are called DIEHARDS.  

 HOTHEAD: IMPETUOUS  

DIEHARD: TENACIOUS 

IMPETUOUS people are very RASH in their actions. They never think of the consequences of their actions, before they act. They are THOUGHTLESS. They are very HASTY.
